Recently, we had the opportunity to work with Whatley Lighting, a Valmont Company, to redesign their website. This process included a complete overhaul of the visual design, as well as reorganizing all the content, adding an extensive product catalog, and including a helpful pole selection guide to make it easier for customers to select products.
The design of the new website was based on a template structure used to visually link all of Valmont’s sub-brands, however we were able to customize this site to cater specifically to Whatley’s needs, while retaining the same brand feel as the overarching company look. We also brought in branding elements from the Whatley Xtreme Brochure we designed for the same company prior to the new website development.
This brochure was designed to highlight Whatley Xtreme composite light poles and bases. The company needed a complete rebrand and marketing materials to support it’s sales team, and we created this brochure to highlight the features of the pole’s durability in various weather conditions across the country. The combination of textured linen paper and spot UV gloss on the photographs throughout show off both the natural green aspects of the product and the beautiful decorative options that are available to customers. The unique size and treatment of the brochure also emphasize the custom product offerings and high-end nature of the brand, a feeling that is carried through to the website by the use of visual texture, strong grid-based layout, and efficient content organization.
